Savvas is a Civil-Structural engineer graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His thesis subject is “Configuration proposal of an MNB composite long span bridge model supported by external prestressed cables and a passive displacement control system”, which was published in the 10th Panhellenic Conference of Metal Structure. He also published content of his thesis at the 19th Panhellenic Conferce of Reinforced Concrete. He is passionate about the analysis of structures using finite element software and he would like to improve his knowledge and experience on it. That is why he chose the field of science and technology of buildings during his undergraduate years. During his studies he has prepared and worked on 2 bridge cases, both within the course “Composite Buildings and Bridges” and the one entitled “Concrete Bridges”. He also prepared an anti-seismic study of a building as part of the Dynamics of Structures II course. Being part of a university student initiative, aim to offer voluntarily courses from older students to younger students, he undertook to deliver auxiliary lessons for the course “Metal Structures 1” thanks to his good knowledge of the subject acquired by meticulously studying the course.
